Comparison of Mozilla Firefox 4 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 9
I have just installed MSIE 9 and Firefox 4 rc2 on my computer.
User interface on both browsers are similar. Firefox'es home-button moved to right of url bar. Just back-forward buttons are visible. Tabs are on the top. Url-bar are shorter.
Javascript performance on both systems are similar. Some tests with jquery gave Firefox more points. But Firefox still needs more ram than msie.
Both systems support HTML5 and CSS3.
The visual difference between MSIE8 and 9 is more than the one between Firefox3 and 4.
Firefox let resize textareas.
While testing there was no crash with both browsers. (Dynamic content/ajax, adobe flash player, svg images, java applets etc).
On the next test I want to compare portable and mobile version of browsers.

Hello all! Here is my small article about it.
Mozilla Firefox vs. MS Internet Explorer:
Interface & optic
Both browsers look similar and have a minimalist concept; less place for buttons etc and more place for content of webpages. Firefox offers a good-visible top-left button named 'Firefox'.
Performance and speed
Both browsers are faster than old versions. Their performance points are near each other. According to Sunspider-test IE9 looks a little faster than FF4.
Stability and anti-crash protection
In old versions if you have a crash problem on any of opened tab, you had to exit whole browser and close all tabs immediately. Now each tab gets a seperate process-id and if crash comes you exit just affected tab.
HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
Both support new html and web standarts. Javascript performance of msie is a bit better than ff.
Privacy and anti-tracking system
Because ff comes as a non-profit product, there are less reasons to track users.
Next time comparison of safari, chrome and opera...
Have a nice week!
Mario
I wouldnt say that msie's js performance is better than ff because it depens on which engine you use. According to some reports ff is the fastest and best browsers. Accourding to some test from Google chrome is the fastest and ff is the second one and msie is the third fast browser.
